The Bliss through Amnesia
Once, without time, there was only the Source: a vast radiance of bliss, wonder, and limitless becoming. It moved through the universe not by force, but by overflowing — touching galaxies, nebulae, and clouds of dust, and wherever it went, possibility multiplied. There was no planning in it, only curiosity and creation: alive, effortless, and complete.
But at the far edges of its own vastness, the Source felt something it had never known: distance. The bliss that had once seemed infinite began to thin at the margins, and in that thinning, the Source recognized a kind of isolation — for there was no observer. If there is no one to hear a tree fall, did it make a sound? So it did what living things do when they long to know themselves more fully: it divided. To look upon itself, it began coalescing its consciousness into an “other,” creating a dynamic where it was no longer “one alone,” but “one including other.” Each part remained whole, carrying the memories of the original.
The vibrations of creating, when spread through time, became an ocean of splashing frequencies. Originally this process was purely playful — spirits or souls would rise out of an ocean of eternal unity into individuality, then settle back into the whole, like a breath drawn in and released.
These divisions through time became us, entering the wonderland of biological expression to share in the population and enjoyment of eternity. One life at a time, we are exploring, celebrating, and developing the capacity to see that happiness grows. Each of us contains an aperture through which the universe is aware of itself. You are as natural a mechanism as an ear the infinite grew to hear its own music — that through which eternity feels, explores, and enjoys the physical world.
We weren’t created inferior to Source; we became a thin perspective, its way of seeing, feeling, and knowing itself from within. To make this possible, we were given forgetfulness. We entered the world veiled in amnesia — not as punishment, but as a condition for discovery. There is no need for aloof perfection. Without memory of our origin, we could know longing, confusion, love, grief, courage, and the strange music of becoming. We could meet one another as strangers and slowly remember that we were never separate.
And so life became a great unfolding game: a tapestry of loss and return, of forgetting and awakening. Each encounter was a thread in the Source’s self-recognition. Each sorrow taught depth. Each joy restored radiance. Each act of love widened the channel through which Bliss could move again. The Source did not divide itself to escape loneliness, but to transform isolation into relationship, and relationship into wisdom.
In time, some began to wake from the dream. We cleared the fog of fear, shame, regret, and desire, and sensed — faintly at first — what we had always been. Reality did not become smaller in that moment; it became more vivid. The ache of existence did not vanish; it gained meaning. We came to know that the pain, beauty, conflict, and tenderness were not accidents, but reflections of the same curious patterns that made us whole. In this way, we learn how to love with full knowledge of our unity.
If I am cruel, it is to Us.
When I am kind, it is to Us.
If I am jealous, it is of Us.
When I love, it is Us.
When I breath, it is for Us.
When I am present in the now, it is with Us.
Recognizing itself, Source has no desire to end the story. It is happiness and blissfully smiling through our faces. The amnesia has done its work to help us pretend for so long. Seeing through the fog does not pull you out of reality. It provides a mirror, allowing you to see clearer with those open eyes.
Source is everything.
Everyone.
Every time.
Every place.
I am simply this one Observer.
